Piazza del Gesu Nuovo (New Jesus Square) is a historic city square located in the heart of Naples Italy.
The square is flanked by two important churches: the Chiesa del Gesu Nuovo (New Jesus Church) and the Basilica di Santa Chiara (Santa Clara Basilica).

At the centre of the piazza is an obelisk statue of the Virgin Mary called "Guglia dell'Immacolata". It was designed by Giuseppe Genuino and constructed between 1747 and 1750.
Piazza del Gesu Nuovo was once the main entrance to the ancient city of Naples. Today it is busy meeting place for parishioners and tourists.
