The Mercadante Theatre is a beautiful eighteenth-century theater located in Naples, Italy. It opened in 1779 and was formerly known as the Teatro del Fondo.
The theatre has hosted many famous artists over the years, including Rossini and Mozart. It was one of two royal opera houses in the 18th and 19th centuries.
