The National Archaeological Museum (Museo Archeologico Nazionale) in Naples Italy is one of Naples' leading tourist attractions. It contains a large number of sculptures, paintings and artefacts that were recovered from Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Pompeii was a city that was frozen in time in AD 79 when Mount Vesuvius erupted.
Among its works of art, the Museo Archeologico Nazionale contains Roman sculptures from the Farnese collection.
